The “Me” in this equation is a British ‘story portrait’ photographer who’s spent the past 15 years taking photos in Asia and who’s just starting out in Vienna.
If you’d asked me who I was a year or two ago, I’d have said I was a wedding photographer who occasionally shot real estate. If you’d asked me a few years before that, I’d have said I was half a photojournalist and half a portrait shooter. If you’d asked me 10 years ago, I’d have said I was an exhibiting artist who made his money shooting fashion, airline magazine features, baby photos, and advertising stuff.
Right now, in a new city, with no established clients or customers, well… I have no idea who I am or what I’m going to be doing next. The canvas is blank, and the whole of Europe, a continent I’ve been dreaming of for years, is waiting to be explored.
Over to you.
