I'd been marooned in Adana for some days waiting for some colleagues to arrive, and I began to get restless. Fixers couldn't be found for love nor money, and CNN Portugal offered me a lift but then changed their mind. So in the end, slightly desperately, I asked the concierge to call me a taxi and took a return trip to the apocalyptic hellscape that is Hatay City on my own.
The requirement for Minority Rights is to submit 15 shots after I've been directed to a place, given a proper introduction and allowed a reasonable amount of time. My aim with this selection is to show you more than 15 photos from two days ago; photos which were created on the hoof in a place I knew no-one in and nothing about in a single afternoon.
You're only as good as your last job, they say. I'm crossing my fingers this makes me good enough for the next one with you. -

POST SCRIPT
If you ever need a taxi in Adana, I can't recommend Mustafa enough - even if the fact that he's just donated his kidney to his brother means he has to stop to pee more often than he thinks is professional*.(*Which turned out to be two times on a three hour journey. Shame on him, and on me, too.) -
